Why does activity tracking stop when the app goes in the background?

Activity tracking may stop in the background if your device’s battery optimization settings restrict FitAnalytica from running continuously, or if location permission is not enabled properly.

To keep tracking active, allow FitAnalytica to ignore battery optimization and make sure location access is set to While Using the App.

Enable Ignore Battery Optimization

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Select FitAnalytica
  4. Tap Battery
  5. Choose Unrestricted, No restrictions, or Don’t optimize (option names may vary by device)

Allow Location Permission

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps
  3. Select FitAnalytica
  4. Tap Permissions
  5. Tap Location
  6. Choose Allow only while using the app
  7. Enable Precise Location if available

Additional Tips

  • Disable Battery Saver mode while tracking
  • Keep FitAnalytica updated to the latest version
  • Avoid manually closing the app from recent apps while an activity is running

If tracking still stops

Some device brands apply aggressive background restrictions. Restart your phone after changing settings, then try tracking again.
